South Dakota is one of the least populated states in the United States, with a population of just under 800,000. No matter what region of the state you live in, or want to work in, you can find a South Dakota Truck driving school that will help you meet your career goals.

Pierre
Located in the center of the state, Pierre is the state capital of South Dakota. The city rests on the banks of the Missouri River. Pierre has one of the smallest populations of any state capital. Truck drivers have no interstate to the city, so they must take state road 83 or state road 14.

Rapid City
Rapid City is in south central South Dakota, not far from the Wyoming-South Dakota and Nebraska-South Dakota borders. Rapid City is the second largest city in the state, after Sioux Falls. Rapid City and Sioux Falls are connected by I-90. Mount Rushmore is near Rapid City.

Aberdeen
Located in northeast South Dakota, Aberdeen is at the crossroads of state road 12 and state road 281.

Watertown
Watertown has a very appropriate name, as Watertown and the surrounding region of South Dakota are home to dozens of lakes. Pelican Lake and Lake Kampeska Watertown are located in eastern South Dakota.

Sioux Falls
With a population of over 120,000, Sioux Falls is the largest city in the state of South Dakota. Sioux Falls is just across the Sioux River from Minnesota, and is not far from the states of Iowa and Nebraska. A park surrounds the actual Sioux Falls, which are a series of small waterfalls in the Big Sioux River.
