Western South Dakota
Mount Rushmore is South Dakota's most famous attraction and a well-known landmark all over the world. It features a mountain that has been carved to resemble four very well-known former United States presidents. Mount Rushmore is located in the Black Hills, southwest of Rapid City and was established as a national memorial in 1925. The original design called for the four presidents (George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Teddy Roosevelt) to be depicted from the waste on up. Because funding ran out, only the faces were carved into the mountain.

Eastern South Dakota
Eastern South Dakota is covered with beautiful waterways, including several lakes and the Sioux River. Those who attend truck driving school in this area of South Dakota will be trained near the state's largest city, Sioux Falls.

Central South Dakota
The Missouri River winds its way through the center of the state. Several lakes, including Lake Oahe, are fed from the Missouri River. Pierre, the state's capital city, is in central South Dakota, right next to the Missouri River.
